Research Focus: 

Specializes in the development and disease mechanisms of the somatosensory nervous system. Utilizes single-cell sequencing, lineage tracking, and cellular and molecular biology to study neuron classification, development, and differentiation in key brain regions and nuclei such as the dorsal root ganglia, spinal cord, and thalamus. Also investigates the development and formation mechanisms of somatosensory conduction pathways.
